Finding inspiration

I have observed the behavior of exercising and wellness for the past 10 years, listened to various stories and followed many hypes. Everyone has a story to tell about their wellness experience- good or bad.

Here is mine.

  1. Sufficient sleep is the key to a healthy body.
  2. If fatigue overcomes you daily- go to a doctor, nutritionist, acupuncturist etc.

  1. No processed food in the house.
  2. Eating out should be a treat.
  3. Drink a lot of water.
  4. Food intake should be changed according to the amount of daily activities.
  5. My Pyramid: Vegetables and Fruits +++ Meat and Oils ++ Carbs + Sugar and Alcohol –
  6. Fast once in a while.
  7. It is okay to cheat here and there.

  1. Exercise 6 days, rest one day.
  2. Spend time with your body instead of counting calories. Learn what feels good and what hurts, where the body needs strengthening, and when the body needs to quiet down and stretch. Research instead of following the hype.
  3. Establish different exercise routines each day that touches on the whole body. (This is a great way to ‘rewire’ our neural network, which builds great mind-body awareness. In hand, helping to prevent injuries, discovering our maximum performance.  For example: Core- Stretch- Cardio- Plyometrics-Resistance Training etc. )
  4. Don’t let the exercise become a habitual repetition, which easily disconnects the mind from the body, giving way for injuries in the future. For example: running everyday, practicing on the wrist everyday etc.
  5. Give a rest from sports that has brought back repetitive old or new injuries, instead focus on other type of exercises for at least 1 year to strengthen and protect.
  6. Never give up on our tired old body, find new inspiration to circulate and move.
  7. Inspiration and fun is key!
