I was in San Telmo the other night and loved the busy night-life. Next day, recovering from my hangover, I  found an excuse to venture back to this area, to an intimate quaint seafood restaurant, run by two chefs.

Restaurant Critic: This small restaurant with its ‘San Telmoish’ design, is situated right along the old cobble stone sidewalk. The restaurant itself has a center garden, with a view into the kitchen window. The service itself, is as personal and intimate as the ambiance provides, the chef personally comes to take down the orders.

Food Critic: Seafood is well-made and fresh. My favorite was the calamari starter. The meat dish was cooked well and the potatoes were crunchlicious. Overall, the food didn’t blow me right through the roof, though the service and ambiance definitely make up for what lacks in food creativity. Romantic setting, small kitchen, herb garden, affordable price (dishes range from 30~70pesos/ $9~18), great service- I definitely will come back again.

  • calamari starter: I love the three flavors of the calamari along side the rice
  • bell pepper dip for the bread
  • yummy potatoes
  • great ambiance
  • fresh fish

  • not a lot of creative sauces in making the fish
  • dessert isn’t great
  • don’t go to the bathroom girls…
